LOL. As much as they love to tout all the BS about being a “Travel Company” their airline is well north of about 95% of all the money they make. It always humored me, when I worked there, how they always acted like the airline was some super small side piece of the operation and just doing it’s cute little thing over here on the side.
But you already know that.
Your allegiant hate is getting a little comical. Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

Not that it matters, but allegiant makes most of their money on ancillary revenue, and a whopping percentage of that ancillary is kickbacks from customers buying package deals with rental cars, hotel stays, and attraction tickets. Allegiant does actually have a fully functioning travel agency attached to the airline, not just a bunch of annoying pop ups when someone tries to buy tickets.

According to AR/MEC (between 2016-19) (and the actual quarterly financial statements) anything that didn’t have to do with flying was a very small percentage.
No $hit you make money off checked/carry on bag fees, seat selection etc. aka Ancillary. Again thats not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about “bundling”. I have lots of friends and even family that fly Allegiant out of DSM. I, personally, know of 2 that have ever bought everything at once. It’s more of a convenience feature for the type of Pax that is not travel savvy or just wants ZERO headache.
If I was truly bored I could be price out a Thur-Sun or Fri-Mon to what Ceasars/MGM properties charge vs what your “bundling” costs are. It’s not like these hotels are selling rooms to G4 for $10-20 (where G4 marks them up to $20-30 less than retail). I would be very surprised if there actual revenue for room sold is $20-30.
Yet again, a majority of your revenue generated is plane tickets, checked/carry on baggage fees, seat selection, priority etc.
As little as I gave a $hit about working for G4 I don’t hate. My GF can fly for free as a travel companion. Funny how it is I spent $104 for her CONFIRMED ticket to Houston-Hobby last month. Bought her ticket, carry on and picked her seat. I could have no done jack and just booked her a “free” ticket, yet I didn’t.
As little as I enjoyed G4 I actually do want them to do well in DSM. Many friends/family that do take them.

Just an observation
When spirit sued their pilots and claimed 8m in losses from the pilots, the mentioned the unspecified “goodwill” lost by the company meltdown. Over and over in the injunction they mentioned the “goodwill” lost of the passengers and the unknown amount of that.
Spirits filing yesterday, not one mention of lost goodwill. 🤔
