Interview

They already basically have the job. If the chief pilot tells them it’s business casual then they should wear business casual. It isn’t a trick, no one is trying to pull anything sneaky on people interviewing. No one at Spirit is going to say, “we told them business casual but it was just a test to see if they’d wear a suit...”
Just do what they tell you and you’ll be fine.

Show me on the doll where the regional airline base chief pilot hurt you. I say that because my last airline micro managed the heck out of the pilots.
“No visuals into SJC at night” Because one crew did something stupid.
“Where’s your hat?” Self explanatory how dumb that is.
“Did your trip start in base when the temp was above 70 degrees? No? So where’s your blazer?”
Spirit is a big boy airline where if you show up where you’re supposed to be on time and operate safely, you will probably never hear from a CP. It’s an amazing place to be.

yup. 8 years, one call from the CP. My fault delaying a flight. A few calls to the CP for issues, all handled great.

This is wrong. The MCO and the DTW/ORD chief are both really good guys who will go out of their way to help you out. I’ve spoken to the FLL chief once in passing and he seemed like a good guy as well.
