I remember interviewing here back in the day. All of us had suits on. As soon as we went in for the group portion they told us to remove our jackets and relax. We all looked at each other as if it was a trick or a test. Years later you realize not to overthink this stuff, we aren’t THAT airline, and people shouldn’t overthink it. As you said, if they say Business casual, that means business casual.

Wear a suit. It’s much easier to dress down then it is to dress up....

As stated, if they tell you business casual you are ok to wear it. If they are flying down for the logbook review, they pretty much have made up their mind about you.

The CP literally tells you to relax, this isn’t an interview or test. They just want to see your books, have a quick chat and give you the offer. This was all my experience at least.

At the end of the day however, I don’t think anyone would fault you for wearing a suit.

All I know is some of you boys will need to relax once out on the line. Losing sleep over suit vs no suit...relax and breathe

Show me on the doll where the regional airline base chief pilot hurt you. I say that because my last airline micro managed the heck out of the pilots.

“No visuals into SJC at night” Because one crew did something stupid.

“Where’s your hat?” Self explanatory how dumb that is.

“Did your trip start in base when the temp was above 70 degrees? No? So where’s your blazer?”

Spirit is a big boy airline where if you show up where you’re supposed to be on time and operate safely, you will probably never hear from a CP. It’s an amazing place to be.

Ya, I was about to say I just showed up in some golf slacks and a polo. Looked at the books, shook my hand, said we will have a class date for you soon. Really laid back. Everyone was dressed the same way. The interview hopefully everyone knows to wear a suit then.

There might be some confusion from those giving advice because they interviewed under a different format.

Is it my understanding that interviews are video calls now? That’s when you wear the suit.

The only in person portion now is the logbook review? Is that correct?

Id say you already have the job if you come in for review so whatever they say the dress code is should be fine. It’s not the interview like it was in the past.

Is wearing a suit really that hard? Especially for a job that requires you to wear a suit...

That is correct. I already have had a formal remote interview (which I wore a suit for) and this is an in person logbook review and possible drug screen and is only scheduled for about 30 minutes.

Thank to all for the responses!
