I will also be attending the MTC next month but I only have around 2700 hours and no TPIC. I should be upgrading within 6 months. Will attending be beneficial? I would like to make Spirit a final stop since I am a bit older. I also don't want to show up and annoy the staff since I am low time. Thank you.

Definitely go. Total time isn't everything. Work on your elevator pitch.

Default Application withdrawal

This may have been a mistake but wasn’t sure what else to do. I withdrew my app that I sent back in feb cause it has been radio silence on my end and I wasn’t sure if just rechecking the submit box was really doing anything. Plus I wanted to update hours and some questions that I can no longer access. So when I went to go reapply it just sent my old app back in,,(I’m assuming cause it recognized my email) but it did trigger an automated email again saying thank you for applying (I haven’t got that email since I initially sent my app in.) However it also asked me to redo the Gallup assessment. When I clicked on the link it said I had already done it. Now my application status shows pending Gallup assessment on it. Anyone know what the fix is?

you cant fix it - i did the same thing. I contacted Galup about it and they said those polls can only be taken once per year so i should contact Spirit and let them know. I never did, but after a few days my status changed to "under review" again without my doing anything.

Thanks for the response. Guess I’ll wait. My buddy just got picked up a week after applying and we have similar backgrounds. So I’m at a loss here.

if it gives you hope I had 2700 hours when hired in 2019. I was a captain and amassed a grand total of 25 TPIC. I was a sim instructor for my regional and union volunteer. Good luck!

I remember giving a resume to an NK recruiter at a major hiring conference. They looked at my low 2700 TT and no TPIC. Said I wasn't competitive but asked me if I had already applied. Explained I had an app in for 6 months. They took my resume but told me I was not quite to the mins. Then they called 3 days later and thanked me for stopping by and invited me to an interview. So to those thinking they're low time... Doesn't matter to a certain extent.

I don't think it's a good idea to put union work on a resume. Management, as a general rule, doesn't like unions. You saying you do work for the union could put up red flags. Just my opinion.
