Never say never but of the 108,000,000 SAVE shares outstanding, just under 98,000,000 are institutionally owned by 490 institutions, the largest being the Vanguard Group with 8.5% of the total shares..

That would make buying a controlling interest...well, tedious, to say the least.

Not only that, but back when prices were REALLY depressed, the BOD adopted a “poison pill” provision that would allow them to fend off unwanted takeovers:

I would regard that rumor as unlikely to be true.

1. Management said a couple town-halls ago that they definitely want to see Anchorage, as they see it as a high-yield seasonal route with high fares.

2. LAX is a MX base and has more flying than ORD, DFW, DTW, BWI, ACY, EWR, or ATL. In fact, IIRC the only three cities we do more departures per day out of (this July) are FLL, MCO, and LAS— and a big percentage of LAS flying is to support LAX. I heard from a good source that NK was considering a LAX crew base pre-covid, not BWI. I would bet that ANY additional gates in LAX would mean a crew base. I’m sure it’s expensive but so is X hotel rooms a night.

just some ideas
Parked at 51B in LAX the other day landing at 2300 with a RON. That's usually a Frontier gate right? With them pulling out of LAX, I can see it happening.

I'm 90 percent sure I saw SJO overnights too. I'd love to get Liberia, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and other places down there but I feel like it'd all be turns. I would kill for some of those overnights if we didn't do mostly turns out of FLL/MCO.

it might have some teeth if it were from Frontier, but Allegiant has such a wildly different business model that it lacks credibility at the outset.

Checkout all the additional destinations they added to STL...let’s start a rumor on that being a base now.
