I disagree with the second part. We don't work calendar days, we work TAFB. You can't really compare a 33 hour TAFB "3-day" (midnight redeye from LAS, 22 hours in CLE, early morning return, done at 9am, look al L4287), with a 10 legs, 16hr block& credit 58hr TAFB 3-day (L4191). The only thing calendar day does is move the redeyes to the middle of trips, and have more early starts and late finishes. As a commuter, no thanks.
Agree with the first, if you are talking redeye override. But I also think we should get 0:45 hours of pay per leg, and pay should start at scheduled or actual off blocks, whichever is earlier, and that will never happen. At first those longer trips had the red-eye at the beginning or end, but lately the red-eye is in the middle, and they have added a turn or other flight at the beginning of end, 90-95% commutability destroyed as of recently. |

What you fear is exactly what has happened at B6. Got the 5 hours per day, suddenly all the 10-12 hour 3 days were gone. They weren't suddenly 15 hour 3-days with the same trip footprint, they were built into longer trips.

If they keep me in a hotel for 21 hours, I should be getting paid. Min day is great, but trip rigs/duty rigs is what forces the company to use of effectively, or they pay more. At work, I’ll work, and then I want to go home |

It’s why a trip rig/duty rig worth a crap is the goal. It’s all

This, right here. The 'I want 1 leg and a 30 hour layover' crowd is killing me.

With good QOL features, insurance, LTD and STD, and a 17% DC, I’d settle for $120 an hour with a 75 hr reserve guarantee for 1st year FOs, $220 an hour and a 75 hour guarantee for 1st year CAs, an overall increase of 8-6-6-6% DOS, and 5% per year per year increase for the first 12 years of longevity. Doesn’t seem a bit stupid to me. |

Those rates are garbage for everyone except first year FOs but considering that’s all you obsess on, par for the course. And don’t give me “do the math”…the Tumi TAa year 1 CA rates were 300 so why are you advocating for such a steep slope?

I don’t care about all duty rigs and credit at all. I just want to work for a progressive company with forward thinking views.
