you think anyone here has any of those answers?

edit - except for the answer to “what’s a co-base”…. Which is “a base that is “co” with another base”

A co-base is when you are required to report to two different airports in the same base. For example, AA NYC pilots have to cover LGA, JFK, and EWR. No one knows anything else.

Nobody because it’s 5 miles over the limit of 50 miles driving distance… They’ll have to amend the CBA.

Last negotiation they spent what was it 90-180 days spinning out wheels trying to make BWI/ACY/PHL one base and then probably all of Florida. What did we get after all that time? Current book

I hope all these new pilots have an idea what is going to be happening this time around.

Filler

I’m not following what you mean…. Our current CBA restricts co-domiciles to 50 miles driving distance and ACY-PHL is 55 miles (80ish km).

I understand their desire to do that and cover the airports, but what a logistical nightmare that would be building pairings, etc. It wouldn’t be that bad for me so long as they revisited the 3hr callout and provided parking at all of them..

Sorry not spending hours in my car wasting time and gas and mileage driving to multiple airports. Also who knows if they even wanted it. The point was they fight on stupid things like like this just to waste time and stall so we can’t talk compensation.

Yeah I agree. I was thinking more about having a way to bid only for trips out of a specific airport (just with multiple options in this case) and not driving all over the place each time. It could diversify the flying, esp in a place like acy, but it could also really shaft someone so maybe not the best idea. :)

At least 95% of the ACY pilots want a co-base with PHL. Maybe we should poll the ACY based pilots and up the mileage to 60 instead of 50. That really wouldn't hurt any other pilot in any other base.
