Yeah I agree. I was thinking more about having a way to bid only for trips out of a specific airport (just with multiple options in this case) and not driving all over the place each time. It could diversify the flying, esp in a place like acy, but it could also really shaft someone so maybe not the best idea. :)

We had a co base at my regional. While you could bid for either airport, it still sucked, especially reserve covering two bases.

Reserves would still report to the Primary Base. So, if done correctly it would be good for line holders and not hurt reserves.

Can we end the open bargaining on a public forum and just send your requests to the union?

So what? What's wrong with saying we want the co-base?

Because most of us feel union doesn't listen to us.

At least 95% of the ACY pilots want a co-base with PHL. Maybe we should poll the ACY based pilots and up the mileage to 60 instead of 50. That really wouldn't hurt any other pilot in any other base.

You are saying (posting publicly) you want to loosen our CoBase language based on your unofficial straw poll from the pilots at our smallest base. You see no issue with that yet tell others to not post things online that management can read.

Sorry but getting a little "pot meet kettle" vibes here.

Thankfully we dont amend our CBA based on straw polls for a single base. Like it or not, things that happen at one base will never just affect one base.

Until a LAS crew has an ACY overnight and has to do a 65 mile shuttle the next morning to stage for a PHL flight.

Again, we dont work in an outstation vacuum. You really think this is just as simple as ACY guys driving to PHL for day turns? You think IF they open PHL, its going to be North and South turns like ACY does now? If MIA becomes a cobase, you think that only affects FLL pilots?

Have you not flown to FLL or MIA in the last 6 weeks? Ground DH is already a thing and has been happening since mid October.

They can do that now. What's the difference? And MIA and FLL are within the current distance for the co-base language, so it won't affect it at all.
