the hilarious irony will come when senior dudes at Spirit are lifting gear for former junior spirit pilots at any Legacy

“Former Spirit CA now legacy FO - didn’t we fly together?

former spirit fo now legacy CA - Yeah you were my captain at spirit when I was an FO …..you got the walk around right and before start checklist”

And even funnier if they are furloughed and back at Spirit lifting gear for the junior guys that used to lift for them; that’s a revolving door!

ive been saying something similar. It would be somewhat funny and bring a smirk to my face. Someone leaves for airline X. 2 years Time we get purchased by airline X. After the joint seniority list integration, some individuals who left end up 2500 numbers behind where they woulda been had they stayed.

Didn’t the ALPA email few weeks ago say 67 left last year for other airlines? And even if 50 have left in January, what’s that 117 in 13 months ? Less than 10 a month .. and now there’s sheer panic amongst some of you .. we all know attrition is picking up and it’s gonna need to be dealt with.. but the doom and gloom and ‘spirits in trouble crowd’ are a little over the top. If you want to leave, leave. Go start all over. I’ll be right here until whatever happens happens.

You must be new here. When you leave spirit they don’t take you back. Nice try though

doom and gloom…no. Great leverage opportunity for the pilots. It’s been a long time coming hearing about the so called pilot shortage that now is taking place. I for one am excited!!

Terminations/training failures/retirements are just routine course of business. 67 left for ‘greener’ pastures ..per January 7 email.
