We’ve learned that what you Think will be, and what your life is gonna look like can Change in a nano-second. Above all I think most NK captains middle age, middle seniority are finally enjoying a damn good QOL, with good schedules , and easily 250k salary. Stuff we coulda only have dreamed of in years past. I’m sorry our ‘concern’ level isn’t up to your liking.. but we all know our path to a blissful retirement more than likely won’t be a straight path.. if attrition is the next bump in the road then so be it . Is what it is. But I for one certainly wouldn’t entertain bailing out because I think the future is bleak. (Which I don’t). Challenges ahead yes . But we always knew There would be ..
Exactly. Your QOL at the moment is looking like it could easily go down the drain and you probably dont have another decade to make up for it maybe ( no trying to be offensive but realistic ). So I'm saying better to be cautious than not. With that being said it means not to have this Rambo attitude towards the airlines but actively asking questions especially now and not just saying it will be alright young blood and toughen up.

Dare I ask the community here if we want to change this convo into a legitimate semi verified space? Ie no names dropped or anything recognizable other than Bendo who really needs to up his APC game here but to actually post information that we can say is near true so we dont have a F9 happen.

Also 4 Titos to be fair.

I ALWAYS expected my QOL to change at some point. It’s been such bliss the last few years,
experience has taught me there’s no way it wound stay this good another 25 years. I’ll deal
with it as it comes. I also learned that changes in this biz are constant. You will never time it,
or make the right move at the right time. For years many of us chased hours, chased turbine PiC, chased multi time.. literally played whack-a-mole to someday hope we can get to a place
of happiness and contentment. Now we are supposed to be looking over the horizon again? Because the pilot shortage is here? Bottom line is pilots are in demand . No idea how that will manifest itself in the future but I’m guessing since my skill set is in demand the future is very bright. However that comes to be. But I’m not gonna go seek change For the sake of change because I think something is coming down the road. Any changes that will be coming,
ill deal with them the way I did for a decade. It’s sometimes tough to find contentment in this industry. When you happy enjoy it. Fo’s
are leaving for majors. Color me shocked. It’s not gonna keep me up at night.
