Maybe call it the Bunny Bed instead of crash pad?

Sure?
A scheduled duty period cannot have a release time later
than 14 hours from the beginning of the RAP. No pilot will be
required to be on duty after 16 hours from the beginning of
the RAP.
AFAIK notifying of your duty before the RAP starts does not change that. Don't do reserve, so feel free to correct me.

It doesn't really matter when crew scheduling will just make up whatever interpretation of the CBA they feel like to suit their needs and tell you to call the CP if you feel otherwise. Your best bet is to just let them call you at the beginning of the RAP and then there's no argument.

Theyll even throw in the limo pickup to and from the airport for free, .... with qualifying amenity purchase.

Do they offer a crew discount? Get more bang for the buck...

When you self notify before your RAP you are released to the show time of the trip, no longer phone liable or on duty at the beginning of the RAP. Therefore your duty period starts at the beginning of the trip. Self notifying can really help a commuter by being able to take later flights or even not commute in the day prior. However it does change when your duty starts and as a result when you time out.

Exactly. Say you are on R16 and are assigned a trip starting at 2000. If you self notify your time starts at 2000, whereas is you wait for them to notify you at 1600, your time starts then. That’s a 4 hour difference.

It’s a minor detail but can mean the difference of timing out or working a very late red eye if something happens to delay the flight.

Where can I find this code? Is it in Comply, or do I need to call the Courtyard to get the code?

It’s not Spirit exclusive. It’s for airport employees. Just call and see (hope) they have the rate for the day(s) you want.
