careful what you wish for...
So you’re saying by skipping adding schedulers, fixing IT empowering OCC to make decisions, adding ground personnel m, etc to counter irops and shifting the burden to displacing pilots is the right answer?

Company shill.

At least the FA's don't have a base in ATL so we can get first dibs on living full time in the new crew room.

lol I’m a company shill. I guess that’s better than my last title of Troll.

OnePlusF, have you tried contacting Spirit management about your solutions? I’m sure they would love to hear how an airline pilot can run the place better than them.

also tell them your input before they place the next aircraft order. Maybe you will get a seat a the decision table too!

You'll see the only ones defending this mindbogglingly idiotic decision are those based in Florida, commute from ATL, or are so senior they don't have to worry about displacement or being pushed back to reserve. But you're right, they basically ignored all the core issues with this company and said "welp we'll just displace a bunch of pilots in this hiring environment and that will make us more resilient." Sure think Benfo

well most people older than 6 realize that something doesn’t have to benefit you in order for you to accept it. I agree though, seems like an odd play but then again I don’t run a airline and neither do you. We just deal with what we’re given and make moves out of it. I live 2,000 miles from Florida by the way so I’m also not happy.

You think Vegas is going to get hard by the displacements?

As someone who went through a "5th largest airline merger!" had a base closure, and a move across the country 3 time zones away, I am sorry for anyone displaced out of their base especially when they live there. Mergers suck and I don't wish it upon anyone.

I buy full fare tickets on you guys exclusively to go see family. LAX-DTW (Delta uber expensive) and LAX-PIT (ya'll my only nonstop). I'll be rootin for you guys, I hope Spirit comes out strong once all this merger dust settles.

Keep defending the company’s moves. Everything done recently was not accidental nor them being rubes. Franke is in charge now. He’s playing chess and the union seems to be playing checkers. It’s been crickets as hundreds of pilots get bent over. Can they stop it? Probably not. Can they at least say something or try to unify us or ANYTHING?

Exactly. Weak response from the Union so far. This is just the tip of the spear. Stagnation and contraction is sure to follow after the merger. There’s no guarantee the combined airline will be bigger or continue to grow at the previous pace. 10 year upgrades are coming! Be safe out there!
