Not sure it would make sense for JetBlue to buy Spirit and then close it's bases... a big part of the reason for the purchase would be the routes/gates in addition to the planes and crews. Getting rid of crew bases would reduce the presence of the airline at that field.

How does this work now that we are run by a group of people who very publicly said the JB CEO is a disingenuous liar and that the combined company would hurt consumers, be bad for the traveling public, and expect it to fail govt approval?
I mean, it's not like they said JB would be good but think Frontier would be better. I don't see how they come back from this. They sort of pushed their chips all in on Frontier and lost. Should be interesting. |
