Concur. I checked his posts yesterday and concluded the same. His previous posts matched all others' posts from watching the proceedings. His comments line up with David's and others.

Yes, they're taking a gamble that this doesn't backfire on DOJ, further tying their arms.

DOJ is supposed to be done next Wednesday.

I plan on attending the courtroom next Tuesday. Will plan on jumpseating up on Mon, returning Tues afternoon on either B6 or NK. I will post my perceptions of the trial, especially focusing on the Judge's comments because he's the most important person in the room.

It's a trial, first the prosecution presents their case in chief and then calls all their witnesses, then once they rest the defense has the option to call any witnesses, then closing arguments. Most likely they won't have the defense begin their case until after Thanksgiving break. Once the case is finished the judge will likely take a couple weeks to review his notes and applicable laws and render his decision. Since it is a bench trial, he will author a detailed decision vs just a "guilty/not guilty".

 

My apologies; I wish I could edit my post. What I meant to say is that the DOJ stated that they expected to be done with closing arguments the day before Thanksgiving break. I jumped the shark by stating Wednesday Plus, completely my bad, I didn't look at a calendar when writing that (I was in a bit of a hurry). So, assuming that the trial is scheduled to be in session on Wednesday Nov 22 (the day before Thanksgiving), that will be when the DOJ expects to complete closing arguments that day. Again, where I jumped the shark is by assuming that the trial is scheduled for Wed Nov 22; it may start Thanksgiving break earlier than that.

They may rest their case, but typically neither side gives closing arguments until both sides have called all their witnesses.

 

Yeah I got it, what threw me off was when he stated the DOJ was done next Wednesday, it seemed a little too soon for me hence all my questions. But he clarified what he was trying to say below.

But remember, his company is in the business of giving his clients first hand information. Or as it says on their website, "provide clients with actionable investment ideas that tend to be non-correlated with the market. MDC has been providing its subscription “Event‐Driven Legal℠” investment‐research. He gets paid to report. So based on this, no shocker he gives a soft 50/50 on which way this goes or when he basicsally "pushed" when asked "who is winning right now." He isnt going to give his paid opinion, for free on a podcast, when clients pay him directly for analysis.
