United is going to put us out of business. They’ve said it even. Their growth plan is pretty massive and if even a small portion of the seats are “basic” it’ll be enough to kills us

"Throughout the initial bid and the trial, JetBlue argued that by absorbing Spirit, it could double its size and compete more effectively with the four major U.S. airlines — American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines — that together control about 80% of the U.S. air travel market."

The Legacy Airlines were never going to allow this.

The big guys have committed to spend more than $18million in lobbying in 2024 according to public records. Guess where this money is going...

With the latest news about AA "considering" the merger of their regionals, that PSA offer would look really good right now, especially if you have the crj type and even better if living in one of their bases. Even still, Envoy is offering some great stuff as well. If I was still at NK that is probably the route I would be at least considering right now. Best of luck. Who really knows though, F9 could be licking their lips to try and buy you again.

there is zero proof the company is actually considering this. APA even admitted it.

Leave Spirit to go to PSA or Envoy? Thats more out of touch that FedEx management suggesting their junior pilots leave for PSA. Why would someone leave a major with an up in the air future to a family of regionals with up in the air futures? AA is still hiring along with Delta and United. There's plenty of good options for Spirit pilots to go to without having to go to one of the AA Wholly owned. Spirit pilots have some of the best QOL in the industry, and AA wholly Owneds have some of the worst.

This. DTZ and the grid rules remain, so a good portion of guys (and gals) felt relief today. The ride on this wild wave continues...

This is a calculated distraction to try an slow attrition from the WO's to the LCC's, United, and Delta. American will spin off the WOs before they allow them to merge.
