A Reagan appointed judge rules against a merger, so it must be the "liberals" fault for suing in the first place.
Same logic as my 3-year old blaming the cookie jar being on the table as the reason she took cookies without asking first.

Let's not have facts get in the way of a political rant.

Fact is… These morons in “saving” the poors have just bolstered the balance sheets of the entrenched powers and weakened the company they thought they were saving for said poors. Planes go to United, pilots will go to the big 4 as well, JB remains a smaller carrier and less of a threat. Pat on the back admin, job well done. You couldn’t make this up. Oh wait, you totally could if you didn’t have liberal brain infection.

Whatever source you adhere to for your news about that lied to you. You can see every Executive Order going back to 1937. They are public record. Biden did not issue an EO mandating the DOJ to go after them. None of his EOs reference the merger at all. His administration simply enforced the word of the law, which technically is their responsibility to do. Choosing not to enforce it would be going rogue.

I am no fan of the Biden admininstration, but this all came down to business.
The big 3 rule the 121 pax world. Everyone else is either going to be squashed out of business or acquired, but they will win out on this. I don't even think SWA is safe any longer as a career destination carrier.
The judge was merely mocking our passengers when he said "this one's for you..."

Did the WH oppose this merger? Yes, with public statements to that effect.
Did DOJ decide to sue to block the merger? Yes.
Was the Biden DOJ influenced by the Biden WH? Most likely, doesn't take an EO for the head of the executive to influence or even direct his subordinate departments.
The particular judge was luck of the draw, unless you're alleging conspiracy. I don't know enough about the legal ins and outs to guess if a different judge might have ruled differently. Presumably a Reagan judge was likely sticking to legal facts, not going activist in favor of big business or liberal agendas.
