I’d recommend applying to other airlines immediately. You can always turn the job offer down if you decide to stay, but you can’t decide to leave without the job offer. Losing 10 years isn’t ideal, but not the worst either. I know pilots that lost 20 years at Midwest Express with the company never going bankrupt. The company actually made money and they still lost their jobs.

Do you really think the current holders didn't protect themselves from such a scenario before they coughed up billions of dollars? This entire idea is absurd and irrational and does nothing to address the underlying problems with the business.
