It will all make more sense for you in two weeks when you look at the industry trailing financial performance in the abysmal Q2 10Q, and hold that next to the base closure email, and combine those with the furlough and downgrade announcement email. And then unfortunatly it will all get very real for you when you see the next Vacancy Bid.

If so I hope it makes you feel better about leaving for DL. Because clearly you can't get over that decision or something.

Very sad for the NK group. I’m hearing the same thing from my peeps at AA. Lots of good dudes still there at Spirit.

With DFW and ORD most likely closing, if any of you wanna come to AA, DM me, happy to help in any way that I can.

Min 200, maybe as high as 600. Depends how much they gut the pig to try and get to a spot where they break even.

Here’s what I know

The proposed cut will be monumental. With aggressive moves to show a profit, I can’t disclose how I know, but A reduction in the staffing-to-fleet ratio is being considered. Most of EWR and ORD operations will shift to DTW, with a small 40-pilot base at LGA and a long-term staffing target of 1,800 pilots

well at this point then the best option is parking it all and just zeroing out since they can’t figure out that full and oversold planes means we are charging too little. But what do I know, only that in my business when I don’t make a profit I don’t get paid. And if I’m too busy I raise my prices until I’m as busy as I want to be… you know common sense stuff. Also remember our new CEO came from a place made most of their money on cargo contracts (Amazon) and charter flights. With only a small percent of scheduled 121 passengers to think about.

Anyone that works here can check out network planning on spirit link. Future schedule reports just updated yesterday that goes well into 2026. Looks like we’ll have as much flying as we have had for the last few months. Doubt there will be any furloughs, reserves are already being used to their max. There does seem to be a big network shift though, DTW growing to be larger than LAS. Reduced flying in ATL, ORD, DFW, and IAH. EWR seems fine and if I were a betting man I’d say they will end up co basing it with LGA. As for the Texas bases and ORD, who knows what the future holds.

You seem very worried about other people’s decisions to stay here, or leave. As you’ve told many of us to leave now, and make underhanded comments such as this. Those things are typically rooted in your own insecurities, and you have no right to question anyone’s personal decisions. Rather than accusing of people “making stuff up,” try being open to the idea that nobody is making this up. At least give it time to play out, and maybe we will be the ones sticking our foot in our mouth, but I’d wager that isn’t the case.

I’m super happy for you. You must love it so much that’s why you live on the NK forums to bash and fear monger your former colleagues? I could never stoop so low to do that to ANYONE in this industry.
