But let’s say for your ego’s sake, it’s only 5 Million a day instead of 8. Is that really gonna change the outcome for Spirit? Is that gonna stop them from furloughing another several hundred pilots? Is that gonna stop them from shutting bases down and permantly destroying the QOL for 1/3 of the Spirit Pilots.
Spirit is a financial dumpster fire and it’s past a point of no return. Whether it bleeds out over the next 3 months, 6 months or year, isn’t going to change how it ends. It will eventually die a insolvency death. The NEOs will f@ck you guys from getting bought or merged with anyone. And the industry will just let the liquidation happen and then pick the pieces of the carcus over once it’s shutdown.
Any pilot who chooses to stay after this coming weeks announcements will get to eventually enjoy bleeding their savings and 401K dry while they wait a year for a class date at a legacy.

On page 1 of Spirit's 10Q, under operating expenses, it shows the 1Q cost for aviation fuel to be $60,797,000.

We used just under $100m per month of fuel in Q1. And page 1 of the 10Q reflects exactly that that. Look more carefully, and explained below.
You must add together the predecessor column which is pre bankruptcy exit, from Jan 1 - March 31 and the successor period which is post from March 13 - 31. Numbers in this section of the 10q are in thousands.
So the predecessor fuel amount for Q1 is 219,922 and the successor amount is 60,797. This Q1 total of both accounting periods is 280,719 …In thousands.
so the avg fuel per month used is $93,573,000… just under $100m per month.
Total GALLONS used and reported to Bureau of Transportation Statistics is 111,087,000 for Q1.

Because unlike everyone else, that are mainly just repeating what you’re saying (there can’t be that many people “in the know”), you come across with a sense of trying to own someone. Generally speaking, if you were significantly confident of your knowledge, it’s sort of telling when you keep coming back and flaming the discussion. Pilots don’t talk to one another with an antagonizing sense of prodding at one’s potentially career threatening scenario.
Clearly people are concerned about their jobs. Many of those same people, cannot go anywhere else. This is the end of the line. It’s not by choice. There are no other options. Consider yourself lucky to have options.
I for one, would expect the heat, if I spoke all cryptic about people’s potential livelihood. Can’t argue that.

“Flaming” 😂
Good luck guys. The ride is going to be bumpy. It’s up to you to decide if you want to buckle
your seatbelt. I do apologize if the the heads up hurts your feelings. Peace!
