They're probably going to wait and see how many leaves in August and September. By now they probably received DOT drug testing records request for hundreds of pilots

 

So far the shrink by attrition strategy is working. Hopefully it continues to do so. That's less painful than large furloughs.

 

IAH Captain, but looking like I am going to get the boot out of IAH with this upcoming Vacanacy Bid of 140 downgrades. Got a daughter headed off to college next year, can’t really afford to take the hit. Started putting out more apps this weekend to 135 carriers but no dice yet.

Any Junior Captains on here in MCO or FLL? How often are yall getting used on Reserve? TIA

 

They use me about 75-80% of days available. Short call.

Same situation here except junior DFW Captain. My son is headed off to College in Oklahoma so I don’t want to move to FL but at this point I’m not sure I will have many options. I’m willing to take the first year pay hit but I can’t get AA to bite. I’ve called pretty much all of our ex union volunteers who are now at AA trying to gain some traction. I do have 4 check ride failures so maybe that’s what has me snagged idk. Just hopeful something gives before this reduction bid hits

 

Id get an app out to United and American. With Bush in your back yard and DFW just up the road, might be a good time to make the move. And if you do end up commuting to South Florida, might as well got to AA and commute for Legacy wages verse ULCC wages.

 

The way I read their post sounds like they did long ago to no avail yet.

 

Must have some skeletons in their closet then. Bummer, that sucks.
