80 in two days would be pretty catastrophic I would think?

was there a massive uptick in open time?

Losing 20 more aircraft and gaining 500 more stewardesses. Doesn’t make sense how less aircraft will pay for more employees.

You can probably recall and retrain a flight attendant in 2 days. Pilots have a much longer FAA training requirement plus OE requirements.

I believe anyone returning from furlough with more than 6 months since their last recurrent proficiency check expired has to complete training similar in scope to the captain upgrade course, and more than 12 months requires completing the entire new-hire footprint.

Its because they took the 150% above 85 hours away from the FAs. The staffing models when they furloughed was based on FAs flying a lot more than they are. Hence our cancellation rate.

Recall 500 probably means they get 150 back. The rest will just stick with waitressing at Denny's, etc.

They furloughed 1800, so I think they would be able to recall 500 FAs out of that.

I mean, the flight attendant job is unskilled labor. That’s just a fact.
