Spirt filed for Chapter 11 again

Chimpy wasn't arguing, He was simply defending the quality of life the NK contract provided after it was pointed out by an uninformed BlueJuicer that a straight drop to zero is possible anywhere. It isn't. You guys should really go a little easier with the trash talking too. As a company, you're only a couple of years away from where NK is right now. That rather large $2.77B in debt financing you guys took out last year, which is backed by your loyalty program, is exactly what NK did which started the death spiral. And just like Spirit, you haven't been profitable since 2019. I wish you luck.

But sure BE has, little to do with Spirit and Frontier's (F9 was also losing money every year until they eked out a very small profit in 2024) financial issues.

I dropped almost all of my schedule in the previous few summers (not quite to zero) and picked up premium trips.

NK's had horrible customer service since the day they started operations. NK was profitable until 2019. United and American followed Delta with a Basic Economy product in 2018. All three expanded Basic Economy offerings in subsequent years.

I'm at United and I dropped my entire schedule in July and August this year with very little effort. Around 50% in seat seniority. Didn't take much work for me. But it does depend on BES. More importantly, you need to understand how to work the system.
