celebrating to keep a job? You don’t get that? And judge wouldn’t let them out of cH11 without a plan deemed viable.

Exactly even if they end up furloughing another a few hundred to get down to a right sized pilot group for the approximate 80 Aircraft sized fleet.

it’s still good in a way for the airline maybe not for all the employees

To address the revenue problem Spirit first needs to address the service problems.

A new startup with 80 airplanes sure. Everyone is on year one pay, new kids out of mba programs getting in on the ground floor, brand new airplanes … this isn’t that. They are shrinking to minimize the overlap for a potential acquisition. I still think foreign buyer. JetBlue and Frontier are treading water. There has to be a serious acquirer to burn this much money.

This is really good news for yall! Finally, there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel
i really pray to all goodness that this guy stays at his current employer. I’ve been watching his ignorance for weeks now and never intended to speak on his existence. But my goodness im disappointed in whoever pulled his application.

Look, this is much needed great news for Spirit and contrary what some might think I am happy to say looks like I was wrong about NK being able to survive. If the Q4 numbers show the staffing and large amounts of premium pay aren’t really killing them financially as they are claiming already, I think it’s looking pretty good for Spirit. If they are selling the idea that the premium pay and staffing issues are only temporary and after it settles than the balance sheet will be good I’d be worried. But either way it’s still great news! If you want go ahead and gloat, you earned it NK faithful.

A judge wouldn’t let you out without a viable plan? Bankruptcy #1 would like to have a word with you.

So this is about your commuting options?

Double D and co get their bonuses, the Super 80s will be brought out of the desert and NK will go back to operating out of a strip joint.

This news is a nothing-burger and purely business semantics. Buys time for anyone on the fence about leaving.
