The old school battered woman syndrome that runs rampant around this place, especially amongst the senior folks, needs to stop. Grow some balls.

Ok- my mistake.... typed in a hurry- I may stand corrected on the DALPA point.... SURELY you all know that that is the exception, not the rule?? I would love to know the historical average for length of negotiations....
Funny, that y'all chose to focus on my little error-
Do you REALLY think a 6-yr Spirit CA will get $15/hr MORE than Delta?? Really??

I will say- I KNOW we deserve a raise.... and we will get one.... we are what- 13 months beyond Amendable?? Ask SWAPA and DALPA what they were thinking 13 months in- how long ago was that?? Relax!!?? It takes time- it's not Spirit- its the industry- its the RLA.....
85% at DOS?? That would be cool.... 6 yr Capt making 260? Sure... sounds good... realistic??? Lol....

Yes I think 85-100% raises are realistic.
Further, had you joined us in dfw the other day you'd know the average mediation lasts 29 months. If you were working you get a pass.

Any idea how much 16% retirement is on the delta/Ual and SW TA rates while also not having to pay in your current 9%. Any idea what a $50k profit sharing check is like?

Give me one good reason why not...and I don't want to hear that we are smaller or we are a ULCC. That's all bull$hit. We fly the same aircraft with MORE people crammed in them at a higher profit margin than practically anyone. We should be the highest paid A320 pilots based on that alone. Let's not forget DAL's retirement and profit sharing either.

Too bad this won't fit on a lanyard. Love it.

I'm not saying it isn't going to be a long hard battle but if you tell people that they will only get 10-20% in a few years they start to think maybe 50% is a good deal because it's "all we're gonna get". See Allegiant.
It's 85-100% at DOS with COLA each year after. That would be industry standard!

Unfortunately, you can’t use your peers “hypothetical new pay scales” at the negotiating table. See Allegiant! Fortunately for you guys, you’ll benefit from being behind a few other airlines in the TA department. From where I’m sitting, your timing makes me a bit jealous.
However, you’re setting yourself up for extreme disappointment if you expect to be higher than Delta

Our pay rates were a product of the industry at that exact time… not a cop out by our pilot group or NC. The only company to get a TA before us was Sun Country… and for a short time, our pay scales were among the highest. $232 looked pretty good when DAL was at $206 for the same equipment. G4 management was brilliant when they finally decided to “give in” just before things exploded. Do you think our NC would have negotiated our rates if the SWA and DAL new pay scales existed at that time? Probably not… they would have had more leverage.

. Just responding to Qotsaautopilot’s comments about G4 pay rates and the reason we have them.
