-Rick Ziebart, an ABX pilot and the spokesman for the Airline Professionals Association, Teamsters Local 1224, which represents the pilots, said ABX has a crippling staff shortage that results in demands for “emergency flights” to meet its obligations. “ABX Air’s failure to address the staffing crisis hurts our families and compromises our ability to do our jobs and meet the needs of Amazon, DHL and other customers,” he told the New York Times.
We had a staffing formula -sort of- pre 2010 when they got rid of it. The company was required to maintain 10% average reserve coverage over a rolling 12 month period. As for emergency flying, easy enough, dont pick up the phone. Also I think that is the real reason for the 2/mo 5/yr ja max. Unfortunately in 2010 we accepted a 95 hour max line. Hard to get to 95 hrs with 18 hr 4-days but who knows, it may be easier to build more efficient pairings than hire.

No. Once a scab, always a scab.

I wonder if ol Johny T bought this scab a new hire ALPA dinner, like he did in the past with the scab instructor we hired.

They ain't forgiven for sh!t. I had to move out in 4th grade and live with my grandparents due to my dad losing his job while scabs flew. If it personally effected you then you can chime in, if not, sit back down

Where is this info available? Do you personally track it or is it available to any NK pilot? Do we know the hire dates of those who quit?

I assume the ABX pilots stopped picking up the phone long ago. I haven't kept close tabs on what's happening there but it sounds like the pilots are somehow forced to fly well past the contractual limits.
The 5 JA limits are a start I guess. I really do think this could be in our future if we don't get ahead of this in this contract.
