Holy Donald Trump! I guess I'm just waiting for my court documents telling me I'm being sued for not picking up open time. I fly my line. I don't do open time, does that make me a bad employee? Fly your line. You telling me biminibendo is going to sue the pilots because a few guys (probably with multipin logons) are posting on an anonymous board. Heck, I sure hope they don't go after ShyGuy, pack rat and full of luv since they're on the spirit thread all the time too.

There is precedent...I'd cool the no-OT talk
I hardly call three or four guys on an anonymous board a "campaign". You know what? Do what you guys want, like anyone really cares.

They push an injunction, what's there stopping from people applying elsewhere?? I acknowledge applying doesn't equal getting an interview, let alone a job. But, management should acknowledge that we have more than a few marketable pilots, and if they pursue that route, more people would likely attempt to bail. It's a two-way street...

Also precedent about forcing overtime too. Might want to look at United States Court of Appeals,Sixth Circuit.
ABX AIR, INC., Plaintiff-Appellee/Cross-Appellant, v. AIRLINE PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS, LOCAL UNION NO. 1224, AFL-CIO, Defendant-Appellant/Cross-Appellee.
Nos. 99-4499, 99-4540.
Decided: September 19, 2001

Which specifically talks about the above delta case and how it's different. I'm not saying no overtime at all, just only do the overtime when the company issues a JA of which we have five available for the year per our cba.
Company hires lawyers to exploit Union weaknesses I say we hire teamsters 1224 they know how to exploit management. At the very least our Union should talk to their union.

I've tried to leave EWR and go to ACY to pick some NK trips but chimpy keeps picking up the open time

Ryanair is 4 times Spirit's size, attrition there is roughly 70-80 a month and they're able to retain the title of Europe's most profitable airline. Spirit's attrition is what? 3-5 a month? It would have to get to 20/month to even match Ryanair's. High attrition rate is part of the ULCC mode Spirit is not even close to "high". As long as they can hire and train, attrition will never be a problem when they're saving 40-100K/yr/pilot labor wise compared to the legacies. It's part of the business model.

If anyone ever questioned why we need a real ltd policy that pays real money until age 65, this is all the reason you need.

This is a thread from last year needs to be revisited. If you smell anything funky on the plane don't just assume it's a pack filter (it could be). That's a very dangerous assumption for you, your crew, and your passengers.

I heard that one of our captains recently died after an exposure to this. I have not verified the info. Allegedly, he and the FO had toxic fumes in the cockpit and went to the hospital. He never recovered.
No idea how accurate or true this is. Anyone know more details?
Detroit based JA. Always very friendly and kind.
