Southwest is also hiring about 600 this year too.

This is fantastic.

One would think so. But our management have proven repetitively that they are reactive and not proactive.
I.e: I don't expect anything to happen until attrition starts impacting the operation. Though I hope I am wrong.

Rumor I heard is we are losing 1 mil a month in training costs due to no shows and failures..they also need to buy new iPads with more storage... But, until we start canceling flights due to lack of pilots.. Then they may be motivated to give us a TA.

I can't think of a scenerio that would cause them to lose 1 mil a month in training costs. It would be awesome if true though.

The current training program is not designed for those that have limited experience. I have heard instructors say that the program is based on pilots having at least 5 yrs of 121 if not more prior to coming here. Is the 320 hard? No, but to cram 10lbs of crap into a 5 lbs bag, well.....
Most legacy airlines do all their training in the right seat and have at least twice as many sim periods than we do.
The only reason this place trains like this is for any other reason we do things, it's cheap.

Bendos podcast.

Poor F/As. They deserve so much better and so do we.

I truly hope they all just quit. It's been a decade.......unreal.

Why don't they all come together and do their "controlled chaos"

Bendo sounded very shaken up on that podcast. I wonder if his inability to get any deals done is starting to cause him problems with his bosses?
