Oh yeah. You have no idea what your talking about. You need to be grateful the industry is where it's at today and you have the position you do.
What do I know with 3 furloughs from three carriers and one a major.
I worked at Spirit BTW. When they did pay 50% less with 8 MD-80s.
You never answered the question on the other thread. WHAT AIRLINE pays 50% more than Spirit on the A-320.

So the most profitable airline in the US and second most in the world should pay their pilots way less than average wages? Go fish elsewhere. We've got enough YES men here!

That's all nothing more nothing less.
Instead of ****ing and moaning about pay on a message board get on strike and get it raised. Same thing that happened before.
It's the same old **** every contract renewal at every damn carrier. Management gives up ****.
You fight for it.
Yes men? Ya know what I did sonny when I was at Spirit in the 90's when the pay was nothing. I left. I didn't cry about it on a message board. Resign. Go be a 3yr captain at Delta, AA and United.

@ The Revenge, also this doesn't include the 16%DC plan and PS
Purely informal, to each their own, QOL is more important than money for some, money is for others.
All from APC pay rates:
year: Spirit/UAL/%
FO
1: $38/$79/48%
2:$72/$122/59%
3: $78/$142/54%
4: $84/$146/57%
5:$90/$149/60%
CA
4: $131/$231/56%
5: $136/$233/58%
6: $142/$235/60%
7: $147/$237/62%
8: $151/$238/63%
Top out year 15 for spirit, year 12 for UAL
FO: $109/$168/65%
CA: $185/$246/75%
*This doesn't include the upcoming pay raises for United
This also doesn't reflect the fact that there are captains at spirit and F9 that have only been on property for 2-3 years. So pay rates come close to evening out. It also doesn't reflect that upgrade times at the big 3 are coming down and already have significantly at AA and DAL with UAL not far behind given current projections.

No absolutely not they shouldn't pay less. Pull up your boot straps and fight for more pay. The same damn thing that happened the last contract when Spirit ended up being paid MORE than the carriers you mentioned.
That's all nothing more nothing less.

Just because you sound off in a chat room doesn't mean you don't fight for your career. Pilots are pretty smart people able to do more than one thing at a time.
Sorry your career has sucked. Most of us lived through the post 9/11 industry so with all due respect stop with the "listen here lil sonny" speak and maybe try not being a con descending di(k

Why are we still giving the company relief on redeyes +1 and other contract areas???
They don't deserve any relief after that POS offer they sent across the table.
Hopefully we get some union leadership with some sack! The JA experiment failed!
Next week can't come fast enough..

Every Single Day...
You just can't have those kinds of career-enriching experiences at a legacy, especially when our management team gets a 50% labor discount on flight time and the pilots do everything in the above list for FREE prior to block out. Any wonder why we are the worst US airline for schedule performance?
Things are going to change, but our management's current plan is slapping on a fresh coat of paint in the crew rooms and throwing balloon parties instead of investing in their employees by creating industry-standard collective bargaining agreements.
Go ahead and poke your cane on here, and tell us how great we have it to fly a shiny banana bus at a growing airline...but be prepared to take what you dish out, and please excuse us for being just a little fed up and stressed out.
High Five!
