Yeah, what would be the point of a good pay rate at the top that most will be at for 20-30 years. Gotta get that money right now, even though you will be there for one year.

Have you ever seen a contract pay rate in place for 20-30 years?

No, of course not. I just find it frustrating that we have to spend so much percentage "filling up" the b scale that was created in the last contract.

Mistakes must be corrected. The B scale shouldn't have been created to begin with.

How long is one expected to be "paying dues" these days. 15-20 years? You realize most of us here have been 121 for 10+ years and many much longer. We have guys in there 50s on the B scale. But sure we'll all be at the 12yr, I mean 15yr (bullshiit) step for 30 years. Give me a break and stop pulling up the ladder.

This is exactly how they will justify it

Well they can shove that right up their asses. I don't support ANY path to parity especially one that's not even what Jetblue has now and they are in negotiations too.

Contract 2010 was a path to parity. Was parity ever achieved? NO! Everyone renegotiates and gets raises while you are on your path. I will only vote yes to parity at date of signing with raises in each year after.

I agree. It's frustrating to have to spend negotiating capital on building up short sighted weaknesses in the contract but it is what it is. I hope we can all be patient enough to wait for the right contract that we can all be proud of.

From what I am hearing this time around it is more of a linear incline. Currently our rates look like a Dynograph of a 4 banger with a Turbo the size of our engines

(hopefully the non-car folk get gist)

Agree 100%. Whatever we gained from that is costing x3 or x4 to fix today. The old guard still doesn't admit that a b scale was created in the first place.
