Yeah, what would be the point of a good pay rate at the top that most will be at for 20-30 years. Gotta get that money right now, even though you will be there for one year.

No, of course not. I just find it frustrating that we have to spend so much percentage "filling up" the b scale that was created in the last contract.

Mistakes must be corrected. The B scale shouldn't have been created to begin with.
How long is one expected to be "paying dues" these days. 15-20 years? You realize most of us here have been 121 for 10+ years and many much longer. We have guys in there 50s on the B scale. But sure we'll all be at the 12yr, I mean 15yr (bullshiit) step for 30 years. Give me a break and stop pulling up the ladder.

Contract 2010 was a path to parity. Was parity ever achieved? NO! Everyone renegotiates and gets raises while you are on your path. I will only vote yes to parity at date of signing with raises in each year after.

I agree. It's frustrating to have to spend negotiating capital on building up short sighted weaknesses in the contract but it is what it is. I hope we can all be patient enough to wait for the right contract that we can all be proud of.
