The point is, since we went public, we have a feduciary responsibility to our shareholders. The other fella tried to make a tin foil hat argument that the company was stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime on purpose. Going to smaller markets isn't to show we're low tier, it's to make money.

The other fella was kidding to tie in the shift in the conversation, with an obvious (look at the grammar) joke, to the guy who was angry that we weren't talking about how angry we are about lack of progress on contract negotiations.

Oh, didn't pick up your sarcasm. And you want to use "they're" or "they are" next time.

Obviously the level of stupid sometimes in here can make it difficult to tell if someone is serious or not lol

DFW lost 400 hours of flying July to August, 17 hard lines were cut, and we are losing overnight airplanes. I have no idea what will happen but I'm worried as well. If I have to commute it won't be for this second tier airline.

by my line count;

69-61=8.....

And 8 lines times 72.... Is 576 hours.... So losing 400....

Well, IDK- crew scheduling tries this math with me- doesn't work for them either....

The sky is not falling quite yet....
No need to be dramatic by 215%....

And DFW had 1 new vacancy this last bid, this doesn't include backfills. So it's growing, just at a snail's pace

Doesn't make sense to have any vacancies for a base that will be downsizing and displacing.

DFW will clearly "grow" at a much slower pace than other bases. Mid level FOs in DFW probably shouldn't be buying a house in DFW and thinking you'll hold DFW CA within a few months of getting Vegas for upgrade, like it is now. IMO
