20 cancellations today... holy cow what a month.
The greed and pride of management is driving this place into the ground. All for such a small increase in CASM that a new pilot contract would cause. I bet every pilot would bust their butt to help out if we were valued.
Sad.

I hope you guys get a good contract soon, you deserve it. Quick question for if and when that day comes... What's the junior base, and how long to hold ORD? Thanks much!

ACY will probably always be the junior base. You can hold most bases within 6 months if not sooner. You may never actually see ACY depending on your training and vacancy bids before you finish.

ACY is correct, seems like DTW is now the 2nd most junior. Please correct me if I'm wrong but ACY only has ~23 FO positions. DTW ~100

ACY has over 50 FO positions, but only about 20-25 FOs want to be there...

I have a buddy I'm trying to get on here at Spirit. If I emailed one of the pilot recruiters in HR with their resume and a recommendation, would it have any weight or am I just waisting my time?

Tons of XJT guys here. I e-mailed an XJT resume for a guy to HR last year. No interview. A check airman told me he put in for a guy and the guy didn't get an interview. I got here just on my good looks, evidently. I attended a job fair and like or not, I think that is key. Not mandatory by any means, but it certainly shows interest. I cannot verify the number, but my applicant says ACS job fairs are tipping $600!
