You make more though in a union because of being leveraged by the group. You have zero leverage as an individual in a labor type career. We happen to be highly trained, highly educated (most of us), and carry a priceless amount of responsibility but to the company you are still labor which means without the union I guarantee you would make less.

Strength for the people, the thing is everyone has their one sided opinions and beliefs so concrete in their head that they don't bother to see what the other side has to say. I'm assuming you've probably never seen his work because you already know you disagree with him. I'm not saying if there is a right or wrong side but if a person believes so strongly about something they shouldn't be afraid to see another opinion.

[QUOTE=NFjt;2335301]It's difficult for some people to comprehend the reality of a pilot group with 1600 individual opinions, vs. everybody conveniently fitting into neat boxes of strict R vs D ideology.
None of the leadership at the D and R Inc. Headquarters give a hoot about any of us plebes anyway, no matter which bag or box you feel like fitting into today.
I am sure they get a good laugh from watching all of us stooges and puppets march to the beat of their drums, whenever they decide what the song of the day (or hour) is going to be.

Whelp...looks like the usual suspect(s) came in and saved the day. One was on off days for a R line, which means he opened up and swallowed that JRM 22.5 hour four day. Many of us let those calls for go yesterday to VM. Hope he got something good while proverbially stabbing the rest of us in the back.

So come summer melt down time the gravy chookers should have used all 5 of their jrms right?
Is there a way to grieve people going over the contract limit? When it happens can we make sure ALPA puts them in bad standing for violating be contract?
If they are downgrading their ALPA status are they allowed to vote on the next contract?
