Default AQP : Which regionals do it?

Curious about AQP. Is it better than traditional?
Just spoke to someone that went through Express Jet training.
They said they use AQP, and that the training really got them ready for the line.

Bringing back this post from 2013:

Default AQP Training - Who's doing it?
Are any of these Regionals doing AQP style training now?

SkyWest ?
ASA ?
ExpressJet ?
American Eagle ?

Doing a search I found the following are AQP
PSA
Comair
Compass
Piedmont

Most of them should be AQP by now. SKW is, although I'm not certain they've converted the E175 over yet. If not they will soon.

Some places have AQP for recurrent but not for initial training. I believe this is the case for PSA and Air Wisconsin, but may be wrong. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can comment on that.

I can confirm that ExpressJet is fully AQP, though.

Republic is currently just AQP for recurrent but will be fully AQP this spring.

I've heard AQP can make initial training much better

Maybe. AQP is definitely better for recurrent because the graded event is a line flight, which is what you're used to doing.

For noobs though, they can be trained pretty well to do the rote maneuvers of a PC during 2-3 weeks of sim. But if you have two people who are not experienced CA's trying to do a LOFT together, experience and judgement can be an issue.

Good point about Newbs and a LOFT.
Although I think most regionals still make you do a LOFT after the PC.
My last one was a joke. It was 50 mile leg at 6K feet. It would have been greaet to do some complex STARS, and SIDS.

A LOFT is training, pretty much everybody does one or more after the PC to prep you for line flying. A QLOFT is an AQP checkride, pretty much the same as a training LOFT but you can fail and get a PRIA hit.

Got it.

I spoke to a friend that recently did loft that was very real world. Complicated SID, and STAR , from where they will be based. Sounds very helpful. Better than picking an easy, random airport.
