Are King Air 300's Part 23 or 25?

We just purchased a King Air 300 (MTW 14,000 lb.).
I know that the King Air 90's and 200's are Part 23 being under 12,500 lb.
The reason I'm asking is I'm needing to replace the outdated KLN900 GPS with "something" but although the Garmin GPSs are STC'd for the B300, it specifies Part 23 aircraft, and I'm told most B300's are Part 25. I've been told that some B300s are Part 23 but I can't find out how to determine which Part my aircraft was certified under.
I contacted Raytheon and they sent me a bunch of paperwork and regs that didn't answer the question, or I'm not smart enough to figure it out.
If the Garmin equipment can't be installed in the B300 for $15,000 the only other option is either a used non WAS FMS for $30,000 or a new WAS FMS for $115,000.
Any suggestions?

No experience in any 300s here...but here is the typical unhelpful government text from the TCDS that mentions both:

However, here is a picture of a King Air 300 for sale with a Garmin 400 in it...so it's at least possible:

Regarding the picture of the 300 with the Garmin....I've been advised that the Garmin GPSs don't interface 100% with the EFIS 85 in the picture so that's probably bot a good thing for that owner....also advised that some avionics shops will install the Garmin in part 25 King Airs even when they shouldn't....that's part of the clarification I'm trying to get.

From what I remember with the Garmin 430 and the standard King Air Collins electro mech HSI you'll have to fly in heading mode to track any of the GPS courses. Kind of a hassle, and defeats the wonder of the GPS, doesn't it? I've flown one switched to a Sandel EHSI and all is good. I don't know if the King Air Collins EHSI's work that way.

Again I've heard that the Garmin equipment doesn't fully integrate with the Collins EFIS-85 but I haven't heard anything about that problem associated with the Sperry equipment????
