I'm interested but there seems to be so many problems. Scary if you research it and extremely expensive! $150 for desktop + $50 for iPhone + $80 for iPad. And it seems you have to buy it every year, at least pay expensive upgrade fees?

I use it on my iMac and iPhone. Great program. I actually added all my times leg by leg so everything would match. Almost 9000 hours of flights added. It took me about two months but it is great.
They also have great tech support.

I've had LogTen Pro for five years now. It has to be the most user unfriendly program that I have ever ran. Multiple issues from importing data and trying to filter data damn near requires DOS programming skills. I love my Macs but I sure wish Logbook Pro wasn't a PC only program. I cannot recommend this program.

Great software for Mac and iPhone.
My log book was out of date since 2004. But I had 3 different excel spreadsheets I had used for tracking legalities and my version of a logbook. Log10Pro imported all my spreadsheets with no problem. It also imported the last two years of my flying from my company's scheduling software. I had only to input manually a year and a half. I was able to document over 5000 hours in less than three weeks.
The import feature is very good. It works with lots of different scheduling software. Just import your schedule into the software sync to the iphone, great.
I had originally looked at this software a year and a half ago (when it was much cheaper) but it was really limited. Now the improvements are really worth paying for.

Logbook Pro - PC only - requires programing skills
LogTen Pro - Mac only desktop/laptop with an iPhone app that can export to excel for windows users.
You stated both in your post.

Logbook Pro
For those looking for a PC solution, Logbook Pro now has free apps for iPhone and Android that will sync with your PC edition of Logbook Pro. You do need a sync subscription that runs $19.99/yr. That's $1.66/month. The program is $70 and if you have old logbooks that need to be entered they have a service for that too. I've used it for years and haven't had any issues. It doesn't work on Mac however (unless you have dual boot or some Windows emulator installed).
