Trans States is OG; it’s a shame they couldn’t have been better managed over the years. The unfortunate thing is that the pilots and employees wind up SOL while the scumbags who ran the airline into the ground get off scot free.

Not sure. The potential pandemic and coming recession is gonna leave a few more airlines stressed, in bankruptcy and result in more mergers. We are about to hit turbulence for a few years.

Preferential Interview at United
I owe my job at United Airlines to a similar situation where the commuter I flew for, United Feeder Service (UFS), lost its contract with United Airlines in favor of Trans States back in 2000. The persistence of one of our Captains led to all pilots at UFS being granted preferential interviews with United Airlines. Approx 10 of us were hired. I suggest the TSA pilot group use all available resources within ALPA to appeal to their brothers at United ALPA, to work with their counterparts within United to grant every pilot on the seniority list, as of this announcement date, a preferential interview. You have been flying United passengers and due to no fault of your own, you will soon find yourself on the bottom of another seniority list. It might as well be United Airlines. I wish you all luck. You will only get what you fight for. There is a presidence here. I encourage the pilot group to fight for this.

Pretty sure the prohibition of F9 interviewing TSH pilots was imposed by TSH. I would hope this means F9 can abandon this BS flow and interview all the TSA pilots that meet the requirements of any other off-the-street candidate.

Also many regionals now give longevity credit up to ten years, so even if the bigs don't call and you NEED a job right now, do a DEC or fast upgrade regional with longevity credit.
But sorry to hear it, that sure came out of the blue.
