kettlebell, Congrats on the job. How long after you applied did it take to get an interview? If you don't mind sharing what were your approximate times.
Thanks

No prob man. I applied via email or their website not airlineapps. I've got just under 1200 and less than 150 multi. Took about a week and a half to hear back. And thank you, I am super excited to start training and especially start flying the line!!!

Green, there are a couple crashpads out there that are a good deal and the best western and pear tree do long term discounts for tsa folks. Ask kathy about it or pm me for more info, I should be able to pm soon!

When lodging anywhere in St Louis especially around the airport, make sure to not stay on the first floor of a building. It's a lot harder for them to break in thru the 2nd or 3rd floor windows than 1st. And welcome aboard TSA.

Is their really that much crime around. I have stayed in downtown a few times, (drury and hyatt) and it seemed to be a pretty clean town. I guess every town has its wrong side of the tracks.

St. Louis is a dump, it's the equivalent of being inside a dirty toilet. By the way, TSA training ain't the easiest, and the management is just a great group people that you'll be able to call great friends, just as long as you don't turn your back to them for more than it takes them to jab an ice pick in your neck.
