Well the 3 new airplanes in the MX is bust. Only one airplane in UAX colors was sitting over there yesterday when we departed STL. Hanger doors were wide open.

Really three announcements. The 700's are going somewhere, 20 175 to start flying beginning of 2015 (to an already established 175 operator), and then another 20 175 to be flown at a later date presumably a carrier who would need to get a training program up and running. What flying does TSA think they are going to get? Additional 145's when they are parking Envoys? lol gimme a break
As to your comments regarding TSA? You aren't even any good at trolling. If they are going to give 20 Ejets to someone who doesn't have a 175 program as YOU claim, why would they be hoping for more 145 flying? I think this is where I'd put an lol because joking about airplane size is funny to you for some reason.

Comair founded in 1977.
No disrespect, but regarding regionals, is age really an indicator of anything these days? I tried using this logic when I was choosing where to go, but I realized there's no security to be found there either.
Actually, looking for long term security with the regionals dosen't appear to be right at all, so I let that logic go. It doesn't seem like they want you around for very long at all.
What I get out of my research so far, is that in today's environment, it seems that one should use the regionals as a stepping stone to the majors. Get in, get the time, and get out. Something like a job while in college. The corporate greed of some shows no signs of going away. It's possible that the longer they see pilot's hanging around and becoming more expensive, the more the concern over their profits grows. Then they start forming plots to either "motivate" the pilots to move on (concessions/threats of shrinking) or "force" pilots to move on (Comair) in order to preserve and/or boost their own profits. They seem to feel that if pilots want 6-figure salaries, then pilots need to move on to pax/cargo majors, corporate aviation, or overseas operators. For example, take the GoJet situation. They would rather create a startup to save money than to do the right thing and pay people what they're worth. They couldn't have cared less about how anybody felt about it except themselves. This was a drastic move and it shows they will do whatever it takes to suit themselves. To some of them, we are not people, rather we are numbers.
They -want- you to "hit it and quit it". XD

I have been following the news and do know about the new flying. The point I was trying to make was that literally no one knows where that are going.

Keep in mind Tsa already flys for AA. Well technically it's usairways flying and only 3 airplanes, but we already have one foot in the door with them. I'm sure a lot of us would love some more AA flying rather than additional flying for the disaster known as united express.

Well just saying. Seemed like you were shocked that someone suggested AA flying for Tsa. Also not many people know we fly for aa/airways and have a good history with American.

TSA has a long history with American and US Airways, and is one of the oldest US Airways regional feeders. Keep in mind Scott Kirby, an Airways guy, is the one who is supervising this process for the new American.
Since January:
-Management requested to know where every FO on property stands in relation to upgrade.
-Company was staffed for 117 last November, but has continued to hire and is overstaffed for the flying we have now.
-Company is qualifying more check airmen and hiring more sim instructors.
-After years of resistance, company is finally opening Chicago base. Base opens in July and will be twice as big as what was previously announced.
-Management has been hinting of more flying for the new AA.
-Upgrade reported to fall to Six months after July, and now reports of 200 percent coming back in July.
-All UA aircraft (10) for Chautauqua parked, and AA aircraft (10) will be parked between May and August.
So it is not hard to see that there is more flying coming for United, American or a combination of both. This company does not have a history of overstaffing, in fact quite the opposite. What is going on right now is very similar to what happened in December 2012 and January 2013 when the new aircraft for United were announced, and the January 2013 hires all went straight from OE to lines, and were able to upgrade in less than a year. In fact, all the Comair guys hired in that time have upgraded that want to.
From the activity I'm seeing and have heard about, I'd say we're getting at least 10 airplanes for somebody, probably American and maybe United as well starting in July. We'll hear something in the next couple of weeks.
So if you are looking for a decent contract and a quick upgrade, you 'd be nuts not to look at TSA.
