My thoughts exactly. I almost barfed when I read Lido.

They have been working on this for awhile. The holdup was that Aerodata which is owned by Sabre was not able to be used with the Lido flight planning software. Weight and balance was going to have to be done manually. Hoping they finally got a workaround to that. You have to ask why they are switching... it's because their Sabre infrastructure is poor and outdated and Lido is cheaper.

I would assume no staffing or real crew room in Chicago would mean this has to happen soon right? Might make it tough to get jepp updates.

This has nothing to do with jepps. This was in the works for over a year and won't be fully implemented for about another year.

Can a New hire hold STL? I am thinking about making the jump after 6.5 years at this POS Endeavor.

It's really difficult to say at the moment. Starting in July they will be opening our ORD base and they will be initially shuffling lines of flying around. Word on the street is that they will be downsizing STL and IAD bases while growing ORD. It depends on how many people are willing to go out to ORD vs getting displaced. I would never think that they would close STL because we have our HQ there.

Which blows my mind since stl is an out station and has nothing going for itself.

Thanks. ORD would be better for me I would think. I live in MSP. It is hard to bite the bullet giving up 6.5 years and living in base.

Best of luck with whatever you decide. ORD will probably be the biggest base out of all three. Supposedly, there's going to be some more planes coming soon. We'll see if that happens.
