I will however credit you in the sense you point out that its the *reality of the industry.
Regional pilots are always looking to better themselves in all the wrong places.

Trust me I get the industry 1st Class and again trust me every single pilot at XJT is trying to bail.
Look I'm not proud right now about the AA flying that we have been given; and guess what I've been displaced to fly DFW starting August!
There is a truth to the fact that at one point people were willing to make a career of XJT. Not calling out specifics because I have friends at ASA but geez we have pilots being praised for 30+ year careers on our home page???
Upgrading was the greatest feeling I've had in aviation (although it took 8 years lol)! I'm actually excited for my best man from my wedding who is a TSA FO before the announcements who should upgrade this year; you know who you are you lucky dog!
I have zero I'll will towards any group I just wish we had the ability to band together to stop this ish...Yes I do point alittle blame towards mainline pilots but remember some of the results of the regionals came straight from a bankruptcy judge.
What's the answer? I served as an LEC Chairman for ALPA and we could literally sit around for hours trying to solve the industry issues. As long as we are tied to the RLA there is very little we can do. Forget the freaking 1500 HR we need to lobby Washington to revisit this rediculous RLA...

I also vote yes for PBS. Good system but there needs to be controls where the company cannot tweek it before the lines publish. Also Min Day absolutely needs to be voted in. You have no idea how much better life is with that.

I hope the best for TSA on negotiations but let's be clear. There's a reason TSA was awarded other carriers AC and it's not based on looks.
As a 9.5 year pilot at XJT (8 of that as an FO) I was able to stack $93,000 in my 401k and never even thought about what my Healthcare cost EPO90 BCBS. I know it's a reality of the industry but it hurts that companies like Comair and XJT try to hold a higher standard and pilots continue to hurt the profession, is that mindset so far removed?
I don't blame any one individual so don't take it personal but I'm trying to wrap my head around this quick upgrade/movement concept at PSA, MESA, and TSA?
Again I hope for the sake of the profession that TSA can turn this situation into a win for ALL pilots but I'm not very confident.
I think as far as a career goes getting an upgrade and gaining experience is awesome just not at the expense of other pilots jobs. I am proud that a high number of my XJT comrades are making their way to United in big numbers but as stated not everyone will be as fortunate.
Remember there are 10k CAs already in line for mainline; not saying you can't get out sooner but it's not as easy 1 2 3...
Keep us posted on negotiations and remember, management will always play dumb and act poor when it comes time to pay!

Why vote yes on the first vote? That makes no sense. It's already confirmed that management is going to 'sweeten' the deal and come back to us for another vote.

I also know military pilots are rejecting major bonuses to get out. I have alot of respect for the military however 7k hours in a 121 environment vs 2k hours military time? I don't know what time is more valuable? My guess is HR departments may see a military guy more dependable???? Anyone else have a good guess about military vs regional CA???

The chart I just saw was 70-30 civilian to military. Can't remember which thread it's on.

None of this is confirmed. Why vote no if you get what you want? A little good faith bargaining could go a long way.
