Hello all, I'm in the July 6 class. Any word on how many people in that class? I'm a CFI so I do not have any jet/121 experience but I have been reading up on all the memory items and limitations, any other suggestions as to better prepare myself for class?

So from what I gather on this forum Indoc is two weeks, systems is three weeks, followed by oral and 8 sims, is that about right? Any updates on wait time for sim and IOE? Are my chances of a Dulles base out of training still pretty good? One last thing it is possible to commute on weekends, my Finace lives on the east coast just trying to figure out if I'll be able to see her maybe once during training, thanks a lot.

First off congratulations
Negative on the first question.
They will teach you everything in class. So stick to memory items and limitations.
Yup systems has gfs (computer based) stuff mixed in so pretty much two months from start to finish (sim )
I think most people are waiting less than a month now.
I think Dulles is still a good contender, when you finish.
And you can commute on the weekends, if you don't mind the stress.

Welcome to the regional rat race.
I suggest start with some stretches. Your goal should be able to grab your ankles without bending your knees.

Congrats man. One thing: I wouldn't recommend commuting home on weekends. The guys in my class that elected to do that all failed out at some point in training. Just set aside 2 months of your life to grind with minimal distractions. Having said that, there will be one, maybe 2, weekends that are good to go home. Just make sure you can get back.

I was hired September 2013 and was in the June upgrade class and the last of the bypass pay. Just got done with my upgrade sim check ride this early morning. With the way upgrades are going you are looking at less then 2 years, but that is for now.

You'll find out who K2 is, however I talked to him and he told me that at the moment, there are 8 people confirmed for the first July class. Indoc is about 1 week and a few days long followed by an indoc test. There are also 2 other tests you will take throughout the first 2 weeks but do not sweat them. It then goes to a review of things in indoc for 3 days. After this you do some CRM training and emergency situation training like going over how to use a fire extinguisher. After 3 weeks of total time you will start systems which lasts for 2 weeks and has a system test at the end. Then theres a review of systems called systems integration training. After this you'll head to the graphic flight simulator, take the oral, 2 more gfs's and then you head to sims. Half our class was sent to Houston and then half is staying here in STL.

I didn't even answer some of your other questions. My whole class is based in IAD. It has the most amount of lines by far compared to our other bases. By the time you get out of training that may change with DEN growing. I asked scheduling if I'll end up actually going to IAD and she told me that by the time I finish IOE there probably won't be a big need for me to be there.

Well, if you asked scheduling, you must have the answer. I know when I ask them things, I get straight answers. Like, hey, I'm getting really close to duty limits. Can I get a wheels up? "Oh, you're fine." Or, I'm close to 60/168. "Yeah, I don't know what that means."

Aren't you in the new hire class? I dunno man, but I wouldn't be talking to scheduling just yet. I'm 100 percent sure they don't determine where are you are based.
