Just got one with 780TT/550me.

Anyone have any advice on the current state of things at TSA, other than the recent layoffs of IAD MX and some management?

I really don't think anyone that works here has anything good to say about the place.

It fees like we are all pretty miserable and morale is really low. The last time I can remember this place being to be fun to work at was back in '06-'07 when we still had AA flying, people upgrading, and movement.

We're still on a contract from 2000 that was amendable in 2005. Negotiations are going nowhere with no end in sight, and we've been pretty much promised that if we strike, they will shut the doors...

But hey, you get to fly a JET!

What about job security? I currently fly 91 with great stability and pay but sit around way too much.

By "shut the doors" he doesnt mean mgmt is going to go around literally closing doors. He means shut the company down. If u want job security become a barber or funeral director

Well it's a matter of your QOL versus your pay. At the regionals you may fly more but are you going to take a pay cut to do it? And given how volatile the industry can be are you okay with giving that up stability? Only you know what is best for you. Good luck!

blah blah blah...you may not have alot of job security here but trust me...it aint that bad of a place. im sure ill get ridiculed for sayin that but there are ALOT worse places to work. TSA is a great pilot group and hopefully well get a new contract eventually. People will be flockin to this place like the salmon of san juan capistrano.
