They weren't given to TSA that way. In fact, when Eagle took the 10 (9) EMB145s that TSA got after the TWA acquisition, Eagle estimated it would take 18 days to get the aircraft back up to Eagle standards (APU hush kits, Heavy Weight Mod etc etc) but it actually took Mtx over 45 days per aircraft. There was one aircraft that had a boot on the PAC ducting that had dried and cracked. Instead of replacing the part, it was duct taped and bound with compression fittings as if it were a old farm truck from Arkansas. The FAA investigated it but I am not sure the out come.

Yep.... Not at all surprised. The Eagle birds are some of the best "used/old" equipment we fly. Give it another month and they'll fit in well here.

The maintenance here is a travesty. I have to agree with that. I feel more comfortable when outstation mechanics work on our planes rather than Trans States mechanics. Very sad.

Your reading comprehension is a mistake. New as in new flying, not actual new planes. They're POS.
