Yes it was an IAD guy. This was when IAD first took that huge hit to their lines. We were out there and a guy asked what we were doing and what base we were. He wasnt very happy we were out there doing IAD flying, though we were called off reserve.

Maybe a little too much credit for the HQ. For daily schedules, I think you're likely right. But, month after month when I see STL with 14 or 15 days off down to 50% seniority and I see other domiciles with everybody but #1 @ 12 off, I think that speaks to a domicile manning imbalance. Granted, all the lines are flying 80hr/mo, so they are getting their productivity out of us and after that, they care not.
If anybody could stop rowing long enough to steer, they would realize that QOL can drive recruiting like a bonus. What if we were all on here talking about 14 days off down to 50%? That would get some interest.
Of course, that's all uneducated conjecture. I've never worked in TSA skeds. I just see inequalities and wonder why. And when mngmnt says, "It's not our fault, the pair-otimizer-gonkolator did it," it makes me suspicious.

Well that's a lie. STL is an outstation base at Trans States. How would things not be more productive if you actually used a hub. The person that does pairings in my mind doesn't do the job they should be doing. Explain yourself why lines at Trans States aren't somewhat uniform.

Do you really think the company is not letting the flying be as efficient as possible when there are airplanes parked behind the hanger because they can't staff them?
And the company literally couldn't care less about having a STL base. The only reason why there is one is because 95% of the maintenance on all our airplanes happens there. If it was more efficient to staff this airline all out of Anchorage, they'd do it.
