Default 737-900 lga?

Looking at EmployeeRes I am seeing 737-900s listed for LGA ops next week. I could swear I saw a no-joke NOTAM prohibiting 737-900 ops in LGA earlier this year.

Any info? Will it go with empty seats? My vacation plans thank you.

Check the other forum. Active thread with plenty of info. And some not so surprising commentary.

I don't see the big deal. We fly the 900 into markets with short runways all the time. ORD is a hub with 7500' runways. Of course you won't be doing any transcons but those aren't allowed anyway. What am I missing?

Nothing. 'Stretch Guppy' landing on a runway less then 11K still causes a few to react like social media trolls to trending twitter stories. Hint hint check Delta's ATL-LGA daily schedule...

I was referencing the FAA Notam forbidding 900s earlier this year.

Don't forget the 40 pax left at the gate for weight restriction.

I think the ER will land there fine. Take off light, land in EWR or JFK, and load up with fuel. Simple fix.

I fly the -900ER into LGA regularly for Delta. The only two destinations I'm currently aware of are ATL and MCO. Also, I have yet to be in a weight restricted situation. Always doing high thrust and flap settings, however.
