I wouldn’t expect much of a delay for GUM training- basically right from one into the other. You do get an optional 10 days for a familiarization trip, plus 5 moving days. If you’re looking for a bigger break between sim & OE, you can try to work with scheduling to take those days when you want them.

Can anyone clarify how we can ship our animals out to Guam from the states? I assumed the United PetSafe program but its currently ‘suspended’ as of April.
Are there any weight restrictions? I ask this because I read in the contract that UAL provides transportation for 2 animals not to exceed 200 lbs. But I’ve seen on several sites that the petsafe has a 100 lb limit. I have a 100lb+ dog. And will not fit in the PetSafe new Crate dimensions.
Would definitely love the chance to do the flying out there but definitely want to get a clear cut answer to whether or not the dog can come before I place the bid. TIA.

The pet safe program recently went from a 700 series model crate max to a 500 series crate.
But the question is more so aimed towards if United is not shipping animals through its PetSafe program, are there any other options.

Thanks for all the great info! I just got the CJO and I have a few Guam questions since it might be a consideration if available.
1) Is the extra $3K/month the international override or is that separate or not even considered?
2) Will you receive international per diem when you are based in Guam?
3) What version of the 73 do they fly in Guam?
4) I'm a military guy and have spent many months in Guam in the last 6 years so I'm pretty familiar with life on the island. Being in the guard though, requires me to be home for quarterly drills and to stay current flying. Is it possible to run reserve days together so that I would be off the last week of one month and the first week of the next (best case) or at least have 10 days off in a row to get back to my guard base? In your opinion is this even something that's doable or am I being overly optimistic?
