Depends on the time of year, and if the PW planes are flying. Currently the 777-300ER's are flying Guam. They are not weight restricted and have lots of seats. Typically, the 777A's are flown to Guam, better seat mile costs, but are P&W powered. The A's are also regularly weight restricted, but not by much. Spring and summer, the planes are full, fall and winter, about 3/4 full. A lot of military back and forth.

However, the jump seat is always available. Unless you are flying for the Hawaii Guard, it will be at least a double leg commute. Once in a while, it is easier to go to NRT, then stateside rather than go through HNL.

Does UAL require an overseas medical screening to be based in Guam like the military does or used to?

Don't know about regular screening. Flt crews are exempt when working to Guam--includes DH.

Can anyone answer this. Currently engaged. If you get Guam will they pay to move her stuff along or do you need to be married or domestic partner situation. It’s a long story.

How many pilots are currently based there?

They’re not going to pack up two separate houses, but if her stuff is at your place, how’s anyone going to know it doesn’t belong to you?

Last min/max was for 61 CA 64 FO.

Aviate candidate likely looking at a transition in May (give or take a month). Would love to take advantage of this opportunity. Question is what do you think the likelihood of there being a slot available in Q2 next year to bid it as a new hire?

One would think Guam may expand a bit as Asia opens back up, fingers crossed for you.

1) Is the extra $3K/month the international override or is that separate or not even considered?
2) Will you receive international per diem when you are based in Guam?
3) What version of the 73 do they fly in Guam?
4) I'm a military guy and have spent many months in Guam in the last 6 years so I'm pretty familiar with life on the island. Being in the guard though, requires me to be home for quarterly drills and to stay current flying. Is it possible to run reserve days together so that I would be off the last week of one month and the first week of the next (best case) or at least have 10 days off in a row to get back to my guard base? In your opinion is this even something that's doable or am I being overly optimistic?
To question 4, there used to be a LtCol that lived on the island but was attached to another tanker unit stateside and she would fly with the EARS to stay current. That could be an option for you if fly the tanker.
