While you and I and most everybody else wouldn't notice or care if OM or whoever was walking through the terminal, when he arrives on one of our flights, you can bet everybody in the station from the GM on down to the ramp crew will know there is a company VIP on board, and the flight would be given extra attention.

Left JB for United in April , so I am one of those guys , 40 percent trying to jump over here is def overkill. Approx 3400 pilots and nearly half trying to come over !?!?! That's a bit of a stretch , esp for the millions of guys hat live in or near Florida bases , Plenty of 3 year or less guys would bail if they had the offer . (I was a 4 year guy )
As far as overlap I don't really see it , besides the vicinity of JFK and EWR I see little to no overlap . Sure some gates would have to be swapped and you'd have to make Delta and American happy , but otherwise I would never say it's impossible and they DOJ would never allow it , the correct lobbiest and money to the right people ANYTHING is possible , likely no but possible.
The people that make these rules are for sale just like most of the government .
However JB is what a 12 billion is company at this high market , I say nothing happens till the next down fall which is when Mergers tend to take place , minus the outrageous price Alaska just paid for Virgin's hot flight attendants . Which is pretty much all they got in that deal.
I do agree tho a LLC is in United future, not asap but down the road .

That was a post by a UA guy, talking about UA mgmt, and UA gate agents.... They definitely know when upper level management travels into their station...

Why merge with Spirit when AK is ready to give up 63 airbuses (+28 new orders) with an average age of 7 years? It may be coincidental but UAL's and AK's (merged) fleet plan are both due out about the same time, end of 2017.

Also, when I have ever seen them getting on a plane, supervisors are falling all over themselves to make sure their are no issues.
I don't think it a secret when VP and above are on a flight.

From my experience talking shop with friends/coworkers (some flight managers, instructors, standards captains, line pilots) nobody has ever mumbled a word about JetBlue. Only place I hear anything is from JetBlue guys on APC. That's obviously just me, but just a counter to your statement that it's coming from our side.

Typically they have a lot of stars by their name and notes to indicate who they are on the PNR.

. I had Oscar on a flight 5 months ago and there was no problem with catering, boarding, loading, final weights, open gate on arrival. Almost like they wanted the flight to go smoothly
