Well with JetBlue releasing an internal memo at least we know it's not them.
Frontier? More them than JetBlue at this point. Lol

In the internal memo, they really didn't say no merger. They had examples if fake news and said the rumor about the August 15th announcement was not true. Nothing more, nothing less.

Actually, I think the merger will happen.... Eventually.

The harder they push back on the idea of this merger, the more likely it becomes.

In the past, with every other merger rumor, management hasn't cared. Zero interest from management. Now, because of a possible United merger rumor, we get emailed at 7pm on a Sunday night from a VP level employee? If this rumor didn't have a level of truth to it, they just would let the rumor fester and eventually burn itself out.

That said, the merger is likely in some level of discussion, likely there are details to be worked out, and the deal may still fall through.

It's the announcement for another aircraft order. We bought 200 737 MAX11s. Seating for 250! Vref is around 190knots and more than 4 degrees pitch causes a tailstrike. Should be fine!

It has not fallen through, in fact, I have confirmed that it is happening.

Looking at today's latest redacted SEC filing by UAL there is this very clear indication that a BIG deal is happening:

On ********* United Continental Holdings, Inc. *************** a ********* ********* with *************************** for the ************* of *********** and *************** that. This ********* with ********************* and ****************** has *********** of ******* or ******* if ********* or **********.
THIS IS VERY CLEAR FOLKS.

UAL is buying JetBlue, Frontier and Spirit. All the airplanes will be painted in the new UAL livery of green with white and orange stripes.

That is what the redacted information says. There is only one possibility.

Here is some more from the redacted 10Q filing

In regards to the ****** between United Continental Holdings and ******* ******* *********** the training centers will be consolidated in ****** and as a prenuptial to the ****** the ******* pilots have agreed in lieu of a ********* **** *********** that the ******* pilots **** ******* a staple job ****** greater career expectations ** *** ****** pilots.
Looks like whoever we have bought, the seniority list integration is a done deal.

Havent seen many posts from you Barley but I loved this one
It does sound like a perfect plane for Jb-especially with 40 min turns in FLL.
