I had the same issue before as well. The pbs guy i talked to said file a dispute, i did, and in a nutshell the response I got was "you are below the G-line, whatever the solver assigns, you got"

Some folks like the current pbs system, i feel its bs you have to have an understanding of C++ or whatever language it is to have a chance of getting what you want.

This.

You can file a dispute and maybe get an understanding of why a line wasn't awarded but your schedule won't change. Being below the G Line you're not guaranteed anything.

This same situation happened to me a couple years back. I was below the g-line but other junior to me got lines. I did everything I could for the line. I filed a dispute and won. 90hrs credit for the month and just had AV days over the line I should've gotten. I ended up working 1 3-day trip.

Just because you're below the g-line doesn't meant you just get what you get. Definitely dispute it and see what happens.

Both Bidnav and PBS help think I should've got a line.

What are AV days?

If I win the dispute, what can I expect?

I requested line value pay guarantee at the line he got, to have off the days he got and to be able to bid trips on the days he got.

...and a shiny pony.

I filed a dispute. Anyone know how long it takes to get a response?

Let us know the intelligence you've gathered from your dispute.

Basically they will put AV days over the same days of the line you should've gotten. So a 4 day Fri-Mon trip will just show AV on your schedule.

AV=available days. Double check your UPA. More or less you're on the hook to take a trip up to 1500 the day prior to the footprint of the trip. So, for the Friday trip example above, they'd have to give you an assignment by Thursday at 1500. No trip = days off.

You'll get the credit value for the whole month, and be able to pick up trips outside of the AV days if you want. It's a pretty sweet deal. Especially for commuters.

I got my answer.

I didn't get a line because I was "available for a 3 day block of reserve". The junior guy that got the line ended his Sep with 4 days of reserve and couldn't do 7 days straight of reserve.

However now he starts the month with a 4 day trip and they won't be able to use him on the end of Sep reserve block because he'll need crewrest.

They said they weren't responsible for last month when assigning lines!
